The action is well delineated and you get a good idea as to what the SEAL teams did on the River barges in the Delta area.
Having come to read all of the information I have about the teams I can say that the person who is "Taylor" must have been a SEAL at one time. He discusses things that only a SEAL would know. But then there are other aspects that call that into question. For instance he discussed his wearing shorts or underwear. This is due to the sand that gets in the cloth and grinds against the skin. In all, the book does a good job at an entertaining jaunt through SE Asia in the late 60's.
Give this a read. It's worth it. Somewhere in the background there was a SEAL overseeing the writing. My personal belief is Mike Beamon.
